Grand Opening of New Costume Department at The Quay Theatre

The Quay Theatre proudly celebrated the official opening of its brand-new Costume Department with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony led by acclaimed novelist Erica James.

Guests gathered at the theatre to mark the exciting new addition, which will support productions, community groups, performers, and creative projects across the region. The new department represents a significant investment in the future of costume design and theatrical creativity at The Quay Theatre.

Erica James, bestselling author and long-time supporter of the arts, officially opened the department by cutting the ceremonial ribbon in front of invited guests, theatre supporters, volunteers, and members of the local community.

Speaking at the event, representatives from The Quay Theatre expressed their enthusiasm for the opportunities the new Costume Department will bring, helping to expand creative resources for performers and production teams while encouraging greater community involvement in theatre and costume-making.

The opening event featured tours of the new facilities, displays of costumes from past productions, and an opportunity for guests to meet the dedicated team behind the new department.
